PathBloom
My walk isn't recording. What should I check?
PathBloom needs location permission to see where you walk. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → PathBloom and make sure it's set to "While Using the App." If your phone is in Low Power Mode, GPS accuracy can dip too. Location is only ever read while a walk is active.
Does PathBloom drain my battery?
The app only uses GPS during an active walk, and it stops the moment you end the walk. A typical half-hour walk uses about as much battery as any maps app would over the same stretch. It never tracks you between walks.
I got a new phone. Where are my purchases?
Your purchases are tied to your Apple ID, not your phone. Open your Profile in the app and tap "Restore Purchases," and everything you've bought comes back. Cosmetics you earned with petals ride along through your personal iCloud backup, as long as you're signed in to the same Apple ID. Your bloom map, XP, badges and souvenirs come back too, as long as Progress Backup was on — PathBloom offers the restore at first launch, before you create a new explorer.
I reinstalled PathBloom and my progress is gone. Can I get it back?
If you still have Progress Backup switched on and you're signed in to the same Apple ID, your world is waiting in your own iCloud. From version 1.1, PathBloom checks for it at first launch, before you set up a new explorer, and offers to restore it — and if it can't reach iCloud it says so and lets you try again rather than starting you over. You can also check any time from Settings, right up until you finish your first walk.
If you already finished a walk on the fresh install before restoring, your new progress has replaced the backup and the old world can't be recovered. We're sorry — that's a real limitation, not a policy. Version 1.1 adds a safeguard that stops a fresh install from overwriting a backup that has more in it, so this can't happen again.
Your leaderboard entry is separate and looks after itself: from 1.1 your player code comes from your iCloud account rather than the app's storage on the phone, so reinstalling reconnects you to the same entry instead of creating a second one.
How do I get rid of the ads?
The Supporter Pack, a one-time purchase in the app, permanently removes the between-walk ads. The optional "watch an ad for a bonus" spots stay, but those only ever play when you choose them.
What does PathBloom know about me?
Very little, on purpose. There's no account, and your routes and map never leave your phone. The full story is in our privacy policy, written in plain English.
How do I remove my entry from the leaderboard?
Flip the Leaderboard toggle in your Profile. Your entry is deleted from the public leaderboard immediately, and you can keep browsing the standings as a spectator. Already deleted the app? Send us a message with your display name and city and we'll remove the record for you. Your local progress on your phone isn't affected either way.
Can I change my display name?
Yes — since version 1.1 you can change it in Settings, once every 30 days. Renaming keeps your scores, rank, and history; it updates the entry you already have rather than starting a new one.
Something else is broken.

SHSAT Prep: Practice Tests
Does my work sync between my iPad and my iPhone?
Yes, if you are signed in to iCloud on both. Your answers, study plan, error journal and scratch work sync through your own private iCloud account. We never see any of it — see the privacy policy for exactly how that works.
I paid, but a new device says everything is locked.
Purchases restore through Apple rather than through an account with us. Open the unlock screen and choose Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account that made the original purchase.
Is this a subscription?
No. Unlocking everything is a single payment with no auto-renewal. It does not renew itself and there is nothing to cancel.
Can my child use it without an account?
Yes — there are no accounts at all. Nothing to sign up for, no email address to give, and no way for anyone to contact a student through the app.
Will the diagnostic questions change if I retake it?
On the free tier, no, and that is deliberate: comparing two different sets of twenty-four questions would confuse getting better with drawing easier questions. The same form means the comparison actually means something.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue them ourselves, but do tell us what went wrong — we would rather fix it.
